Call for Proposals
Deadline: Friday, May 20
We are looking for submissions that aim to challenge animal exploitation in our education system and offer compassionate and innovative solutions. Some animals are exploited directly in the form of food, research, or entertainment. Others remain invisible in our curriculum. We are looking to create a shift in the way we relate to animals and to help build a culture of respect and reverence with our students and school communities towards all the amazing creatures with whom we share the planet. Topics could include but are not limited to:
Check out our Agenda and Speaker pages from last year's conference for more ideas.
Format: Your virtual presentation will be approximately 15-30 minutes long, with time for Q and A after. You may be paired with another presentation in a panel format. The number and types of submissions we receive will shape the format of the conference (e.g. number of presentations and panels, length of sessions, number of simultaneous session streams). If you have a co-presenter you can add their info in your proposal submission - only one of you will submit a proposal.
Who Should Apply: Any educator working with students in a school system (pre-K, K-Gr.12, post-secondary) is welcome to apply to present. You may be working within a school or for an organization that works with schools.
How to Submit: Complete this Google Form Application.
Submission Deadline: Friday, May 20, 2022 (11:59pm ET)
